OK, here's the thing, I need to be in Dresden at the end of June to coincide with other people's schedules for an event there. That date hasn't been confirmed yet but is likely to be between the 22nd-24th.

Th 25th/26th would be really pushing it, but I could do it.

Is 30th/31st July completely out of the question? That's a week after the end of Beltring.

It's impossible for me to swap shifts so far in advance, unfortunately. Also, the Prison Services' working week begins on a sunday, so, if if I try to book leave for it, I'd still be a day short.

i won't be able to come to this event i'm afraid. My son is performing king lear at the rsc at stratford on the saturday as part of their outreach program. I was gutted to find this out a while ago, as this is obviously a once in a lifetime chance however with recent events i'd rather prioritise him than this event. I'm sure you'll all have a cracking time regardless.

Goodness, that's a pity.

Do you want to head up the Russian side Pete/Steve? Or shall I start refunding those who have already paid?

That is one hell of an opportunity. What part is he playing? Tell him he MUST speak to the other actors, no matter how much he thinks they might bat him away. Theatre actors are amongst the most generous types with their time and expertise and he'll learn loads.

It's a bloody pisser that it falls on this date as it was your event.

For the sake of keeping the event going, I'm happy to take the lead the Russians, unless Pete has any strong feelings about it.

Jay, looks like you will be heading up the Germans for this game, unless Stephen wants to move over to the German side and Pete head up the Russians.

Guy, that is indeed a worthy reason to miss out on this game.

It's still perfectly do-able with less organisers. We need a new gameplan though. Perhaps less Russians and more Germans? I'm perfectly happy to run the Russian side and let Steve and Jay run the Germans. We have enough switched on players who can act as squad leaders too.

Nice one. Let's talk about it at "Horn".
